Made from genuine wool fleece on a synthetic backing, it fits neatly between the cheeks of the noseband. Designed to partially restrict the horse's vision, it helps with concentration on what is in front of them, rather than objects on the ground (such as shadows). Also useful for horses who raise their head too high and evade the bit. The shadow roll is intended to correct this by forcing the horse to lower his head in order to see what is in front, such as jumps. When the horse's head is raised the shadow roll blocks vision.
