Crafted from recycled NZ Rimu timber, this box showcases an engraved pūhoro design, reminiscent of patterns on waka and in Ta Moko. Merging modern form with Māori artistry, it bridges contemporary and traditional realms, exuding authenticity and cultural significance. The pūhoro design is reminiscent of the ripples and swirls created by a paddle strike, propelling the waka through water. It symbolizes agility, speed, and dexterity, qualities essential for a warrior. Additionally, the design represents movement, journey, and the momentum of life.
